SNEAK PEEK - EPISODE 1: WHAT IS AN ENTREPRENEUR?

BASICS OF BUSINESS: BEGINNER TO BOSS
Dive into the world of business and entrepreneurship through our 20-part interactive learning series, Basics of Business: Beginner to Boss.
Available via the Young Entrepreneurs Academy platform, the programme has been designed to give young people a practical, engaging and accessible introduction to how businesses work. With support from UCL School of Management, UCL's Institute of Education, and some award-winning entrepreneurs, the programme brings entrepreneurship to life through interactive videos, quizzes, founder stories, and follows an educationally robust syllabus, delivered in a way that is interactive, age-appropriate and enjoyable for young people.

Throughout the programme, students will develop a foundational understanding of key business concepts, including how to generate and refine a business idea, understand customers, marketing and sales, consider basic finance, build a brand, structure a business plan and much more! As they progress through the series, students complete sections of their own business plan, helping them apply what they have learned in a practical and purposeful way.

On completion, students receive a certificate endorsed by UCL School of Management, with opportunities for students to further develop and present their ideas.
It is designed to inspire young people and support schools in developing students’ confidence, creativity, problem-solving, communication and enterprise skills, while complementing wider work across careers education, personal development, PSHE and enrichment.

Young people can sign up and progress on their own accord or this can be done at school in the classroom, lead by a teacher.
