Our Leadership Team are the people behind the creation of the Academy. They have invested many hours creating the concept, writing the content, developing the platform and curating the experience to ensure that each and every budding entrepreneur gets the most from their experience with the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

Paul Herman
Founder & Chair
Paul is the founder of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, CEO of two corporate finance businesses and Chair of an investment business. He has a passion for everything entrepreneurial and is firmly of the view that the kids of today will be the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. His leadership and vision are instrumental in shaping the Academy's mission to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Ryan McInnes
Digital Learning Specialist
Ryan is a creative and energetic digital learning specialist with a passion for learning, technology and design, with over 20 years experience in designing technology enabled learning experiences. He has played an integral part in developing our debut learning series "Basics of Business: Beginner to Boss".
Elin Jarman
Marketing Assistant
Elin is the marketing and team assistant at the YEA. She works closely with our leadership team to develop marketing materials and assist in building the YEA brand. Her responsibilities range from creating marketing collateral to assisting with the CRM.
Lauren Smithie
Co-Founder & CEO
Lauren provides strategic leadership and direction, ensuring the YEA achieves its goals and objectives. She's passionate about making entrepreneurial education accessible to all, particularly those from backgrounds that traditionally lack access to entrepreneurial resources and opportunities. She has been key in building our brand and taking the YEA from an idea into an entity.
Tracy Kingsnorth
Co-Founder & COO
Tracy oversees the day-to-day operations of the Academy and has been an integral part of the organisation since its formation. Working alongside Paul and Lauren to ensure that the strategic plans of the Academy are both realistic and timely, Tracy is in complete control of all the operational components.
Nick Dyson
Non-Executive Director
With Francis Holland a key supporter in our formative years, Nick was a driving force behind the relationship with Francis Holland School where he was both Director of Creative Enterprise and a highly skilled geography teacher. Nick is currently Deputy Principal of Innovation and Student Development at the Ladies' College, Guernsey.
