We’re proud to share that the Young Entrepreneurs Academy has been named Business Education NPO of the Year by Corporate LiveWire!

This award recognises organisations creating real impact in business education through innovation, accessibility, and a commitment to building real-world skills - everything we strive to do every day.

The seed of the idea for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy came about back in 2019, as a summer holiday workshop. The idea was simple: give young people practical exposure to business and help them build confidence in their ideas by bringing in exciting entrepreneurs to share their stories, linking them to relevant business concepts.

Then COVID-19 hit.

Like many, we were forced to rethink everything. But in that moment came a much bigger question: How do we make entrepreneurial education accessible to every young person not just those who can attend in person?

That question led to the creation of our digital learning series: Basics of Business: Beginner to Boss.

Today, our programme is being used in over 150 schools, by young people directly or via community organisations, giving thousands of young people access to entrepreneurial learning, regardless of their background. Through interactive content, real founder insights, and practical learning, we’re helping young people:

  • Think creatively

  • Solve real-world problems

  • Build confidence in their ideas

  • Develop skills that go far beyond the classroom

The world is changing fast and understanding the basics of business is becoming an essential life skill. We’ve been fortunate to build this alongside some incredible supporters, including UCL School of Management, UCL's Institute of Education, and a network of inspiring entrepreneurs who share our belief in empowering the next generation with the future-ready skills entrepreneurship develops.

We're excited to be recognised for our work as we continue to grow, expanding our reach and building new ways to support young people! Our ambition is simple: to give every young person, regardless of socio-economic background or neurodiversity, the opportunity to learn real-life business skills, financial literacy, and to develop crucial life skills that entrepreneurship often helps build, like creativity, critical thinking, adaptability, resilience and the confidence to lead with conviction.

A huge thank you to all the schools, students, parents, partners, and supporters who have believed in what we’re building. We’re excited for what’s ahead!
